Details: The scholarship is awarded on the basis of high school grade one examination. 82,000 scholarships are awarded each year, of which 41,000 are boys and 41,000 are boys and girls respectively] are awarded to undergraduate/postgraduate students in universities and colleges and for the study of university and vocational courses, such as medicine, engineering, etc.
Central Sector Scholarship Scheme Eligibility Criteria for College and University Students
The student must have scored more than 80% in his class 12th
The student must have passed class 12th or equivalent and
He must have taken regular courses (not correspondence or remote models) in Universities / Institutions recognized by the All India Technical Council for Education, UGC Act, 1956, Medical Council of India, Dental Council of India and other regulatory authorities.
Applicant does not enjoy any other benefit scholarship programs, including state-run scholarship programs / fee reduction
Note: Students pursuing any diploma course are not eligible for this scholarship scheme.
Central Sector Scholarship Scheme Benefits for College and University Students
The level of scholarship for the first three years is INR 10,000 per year on university courses and graduation
The students doing post graduation will be given INR 20,000 every year.
The duration of taking elective courses in the course duration is five (5) years / Comprehensive course will receive INR 20000 / -.
4th and 5th every year. However, students pursuing technical courses as B.Tech. , B.Engg will receive a scholarship till graduation
Central Sector Scholarship Scheme and Selection Procedure for College and University Students
National scholarship portal (NSP) click here will be opened for online application in the month of June-July every year.
Online applications will be verified at two levels:
(i) By the institution where the student is studying.
(ii) by the concerned State Board of Education.
The applicant is required to submit the requisite documents, such as [Class 12th marks, income certificate] to the institute.
Merit list will be generated from verified applications as per the quota allocated by the state.
Documents required for Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for college and university students
To obtain scholarship benefits under the Central Sector Scheme of NSP Scholarship for College and University Students, assigned to the Aadhaar individual, the following identifiers can be used: –
(i) Aadhaar enrollment ID slip
(ii) Application for Aadhaar enrollment
(iii) Voter ID
(iv) Permanent Account Number
(vi) driving license
(viii) Any other document with photo specified by the State Government
Procedure for scholarship renewal of Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for college and university students
Students who have passed class XII can apply for renewal from the respective state boards of education and have to submit the same duly certificate from their respective institutes, which is required to be certified:
(A) that the student has scored 60% or more in the previous examination,
(b) The student has 75% attendance and
(c) The student is not involved in any ragging activities.
